David Fischer If I had not known that Verletzen (German for 'hurt sb.') was a Welsh band, I would have assumed them to be Norwegian. Their cold as ice, blistering black metal onslaught is very reminiscent of genre classics which shall not be named. Still, Evil Will Triumph transcends its influences and proudly stands its own ground; standing out through interesting melodies and a nice, rounded sound. It may not be a new and creative direction, but it certainly is a good one. Try not to hurt yourself! Favorite track: Hatred.

Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone.
